  • How to scan all the icons, including that in DLLs, on my C: drive and import them to IconLibraryX?

    1. Select an icon category as the parent category.
    2. Click the Icons>Import Icons from Disk Directory menu item.
    3. Choose C: as the source disk directory.
    4. Wait and all the icons in your C: drive will be imported automatically.

  • When I import icons from a disk directory, I noticed many graphic formats like ICL, GIF, PNG will be converted and imported too. How to import ICOs and ICLs only?

    1. Click the Tools>Options menu item.
    2. Modified the Default import filters to *.ico;*.icl.
    3. Click the OK button.

  • I have lots of icons within different directories on my disk. Can I import them, including the whole directory structure to IconLibraryX?

    Yes. There is a menu command for this situation specially: Categories>Import from Disk Directory Tree. And it's very easy to use:
    1. Select an icon category as the parent category (generally, choose the root "My Icons").
    2. Click the Categories>Import from Disk Directory Tree menu item.
    3. Choose the source disk directory you want to import from.
    4. Wait and the whole source directory structure with contents will be imported automatically.

  • How to backup an icon category with its subcategories and icons to disk?

    Solution A:
    Simply drag & drop the icon category to Windows Explorer.

    Solution B:
    1. Select the icon category.
    2. Click the Categories>Export to Disk Directory Tree menu item.
    3. Choose the destination disk directory you want to export to.
    4. Wait and the whole source category structure with contents will be exported automatically.

  • Is it possible to edit icons in my library with other professional icon editors directly?

    Yes. Just select the icon you want to edit and click the Icons>Edit with Associated Program menu item. After editing and close the icon editor, the icon in your library will be updated automatically. You may also change the Options>Edit icons with the specified program settings to edit icons with your favorite icon editor software.

  • I want to simplify my icons by deleting all the formats except the 16x16 - XP and 32x32 - XP format. How to do this?

    1. Select the icons you want to delete formats from.
    2. Click the Icons>Delete Formats from Icons menu item.
    3. Add 16x16 - XP and 32x32 - XP to the Desired Image Formats.
    4. Check the Except above image formats option.
    5. Click OK.

  • I have a web design icons set: one hundred 24x24 pngs and one hundred 32x32 pngs. Can IconLibraryX merge the 200 images to 100 icons with two image formats (24x24 and 32x32)?

    Yes. The Merge Icons function can help you to do this by just a few clicks. 1. Select an icon category as the parent category.
    2. Click the Icons>Import Icons menu item to import your images.
    3. Select all the 200 icons.
    4. Click the Icons>Merge Icons menu item.
    5. Confirm to merge them.

  • Is it possible to list the icons that name contains numbers (e.g. save_as023)?

    Yes. You may use the regular expression feature on the Find Icons dialog.
    1. Click the Edit>Find Icons menu item.
    2. Enter [0-9] in the Find What text area.
    3. Check the Regular expression option.
    4. Click the Search button.

  • I deleted many icons from my library. Why the file size of the library was not changed?

    When you delete icons, the corresponding physical disk space is just marked as "deleted", not really freed. This mechanism is very helpful for fast icon creation and deletion. If you really want to decrease the file size, please use the File>Compact command.

  • What is your License Policy?

    Single-User License:
    Installation of the program purchased under a Single-User Personal License is restricted to one single personal computer owned by or under control of the licensee plus one additional computer also owned by the licensee, e.g.: One computer at home and another at work, or a desktop at home and a laptop at home. However, at any given time only one copy of the purchased programs may be in use.

    For Personal Use: With Personal License, you can use the software in a business, academic, or government environment and you can only intend to use it for private or employment use and on exactly one computer per license. And you are preventing from selling, distributing or taking other ways to generate revenue directly with the output of the software.

    Multi-User License:
    The license permits you to install the program on the specific numbers of PCs entirely within your family (for personal use), non-profit organizations (such as schools, for academic use) and corporation within one particular specified location (e.g. office, for commercial use). Pricing varies according to the use. You may not give, transfer or sell multi-user-licensed copies of our product, nor include such copies in, or with products you sell or deliver to any third party users may access the software in any way that is convenient; for example, by accessing copies stored on local hard disks or copies stored on network servers.

    Enterprise License:
    Enterprise License is a type of software licensing agreement that grants the purchaser permission to use the software on a network on a single site, with an unlimited number of end users. Usually this type of license allows you to copy and use the software on multiple computers at one site and is more expensive than purchasing a single copy but less expensive than purchasing a copy for each computer at the site. There may be a maximum specified number of simultaneous end users.

  • How can I know if my order is processed successfully or not?

    Generally speaking, once the order is successfully processed, you will receive a confirmation e-mail sent from RegNow or ShareIt. The confirmation contains all of your order information, including your registratin name and code, your invoice or receipt.

    If your order fails, you are also supposed to receive a notification. In this case, we suggest you check your order status before placing a new order.

  • I have purchased the download version, how can I get a CD as a backup?

    If you want to get a CD as a backup, please purchase the product with the CD again and then contact us. We will refund you for your previous purchase, for we don't sell the CD separately.

    Actually, if you have an Internet connection, you don't need to purchase the CD. You can download the latest program from our website at any time without any limitation. Purchasing the CD is totally a waste of money. The CD is just for those who don't have an Internet connection. And the CD doesn't contain the registration information.

    You can download the program, and then burn it with your registration information onto a CD as a backup by yourself, or save them together on your computer or some USB storage devices.

  • Can I cancel my order after placing it?

    Do I have to purchase this "Extended Download Service"? What if I don't purchase it?

  • Do I have to pay sales tax?

    We charge applicable sales tax for orders shipped to California, Minnesota and Washington. Sales tax is automatically computed on both product(s) and shipping costs.

  • What is the CD version?

    Actually, the CD is just a storage medium for backing up the software. After your order is processed successfully, we will send you the registration code and the download link.

    If you have ordered a CD, RegNow or ShareIt will send you the CD with a copy of the latest version of this software on the same day. You need to wait for 1-3 weeks before it finally arrives.

    Before you get this CD, you can download a copy of the software from the download link, and register it with the registration information. The CD doesn't contain the registration code.   • Can I order a CD and how long can I get it?

  • I lost my registration code or I didn't receive it after purchase, what should I do?

    If you lost your registration code or you did not receive the code after purchase, you can get it via contact us by submitting your licensed e-mail address, registration name or order number. Please note that only the orders processed by RegNow and ShareIt can be found in our system. If you bought our products from our resellers or agents, please contact them. Or you can tell us your situation, and we will contact them for you.

    If you cannot register the software with the registration information, please check the spelling of your registration name and code after entering them to the text boxes, because both of them are case sensitive. And you also should note whether the code matches the version of the software you installed.

  • What shall I do, if the registration code is invalid?

    There are several reasons why the code may be invalid. Please check the following situations.

    1. Wrong spelling of your registration name or registration code.
    The registration name and registration code are case sensitive. Please copy them from your registration e-mail and paste them into the proper text boxes in the registration window.

    2. The registration code doesn't match the version.
    The following situations may cause this issue.
    a. You downloaded an earlier version from our affiliate's website, but the registration code you received after purchase is for the latest version.
    b. You used a previous registration code to register the upgraded version.
    c. You registered the CD version received weeks before with the newly-received code.

    Please note that we upgrade our products very frequently, and sometimes you need a new registration code to register the upgraded version, even though the upgrade is free. If your former registration code does not work with the free upgrade, you can get a new one on our Support Center.

    To view the version of the software installed on your computer, select About on the Help menu, and you can see the version number in the pop-up window.

  • What if I want to use the program on another computer but I bought a single-user license?

    If you bought a single-user license, that means you are allowed to use the program on one computer. If you want to use the program on a new computer, please uninstall it from the old computer first, and then install it on the new computer.

    But if you have a desktop PC and a laptop, and you don't use the program at the same time, you are permitted to install the program on the two computers. Please note our license policy as below:
